Terms & Conditions
Msike Tanzania Safari is committed to delivering safe, enjoyable, and memorable safari experiences. By booking with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read them carefully, as they form the basis of the contract between you (the client) and Msike Tanzania Safari (the company).
1. Booking, Confirmation & Payments
- A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a 30% deposit of the total safari cost is required at the time of booking.
- The balance payment must be settled no later than 45 days before the safari start date.
- For last-minute bookings (within 30 days of departure), 100% payment is required at the time of booking.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or any other method agreed by the company. All transfer charges are the responsibility of the client.
- Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation of the booking, with applicable cancellation charges.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing (via email) and will take effect from the date received.
- The following charges apply:
- More than 60 days before safari start: Full refund minus bank/administrative fees.
- 45–59 days before safari start: 50% refund of total safari cost.
- Less than 30 days before safari start: No refund will be issued.
- No refund is given for unused services, early departures, or late arrivals.
- In case of force majeure (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, etc.), the company may offer rescheduling or credit vouchers at its discretion.
3. Travel Documents, Health & Insurance
- Clients must ensure they have valid passports, visas, and any required vaccinations before traveling.
- Msike Tanzania Safari accepts no responsibility for costs incurred due to incomplete or incorrect travel documents.
- Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, lost baggage, and evacuation is strongly recommended and is the client’s sole responsibility.
4. Safari Itineraries & Flexibility
- All itineraries are subject to change due to weather, road conditions, wildlife movement, park regulations, or other factors beyond our control.
- While every effort will be made to follow the agreed itinerary, Msike Tanzania Safari reserves the right to make necessary adjustments in the best interest of clients’ safety and experience.
- Game drives and activities may vary depending on seasonal conditions and park regulations.
5. Accommodation & Meals
- Accommodation is provided as indicated in the itinerary. If a specific lodge or camp is unavailable, the company reserves the right to substitute with accommodation of a similar standard.
- Meals are offered as per the itinerary and may vary depending on lodge or camp arrangements. Clients with dietary restrictions must inform the company in advance.
6. Transport & Vehicles
- Safari transport is conducted in 4×4 vehicles designed for wildlife viewing. Each guest is guaranteed a window seat.
- The company ensures vehicles are properly maintained, but accepts no liability for delays, breakdowns, or mechanical issues beyond its control.
- Transfers and flights (domestic or international) provided by third parties are subject to their terms and conditions.
7. Responsibilities & Liability
- Participation in safaris is at the client’s own risk.
- Msike Tanzania Safari is not liable for personal injury, death, illness, loss, damage, or delays caused by natural disasters, accidents, theft, strikes, government regulations, or actions of third-party service providers.
- The company is not responsible for any expenses incurred due to missed international flights, delays, or changes in airline schedules.
- Clients are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings.
8. Wildlife & Safety
- Safaris take place in wilderness areas with wild animals. While every precaution is taken, no liability can be accepted for injury or incidents caused by wildlife.
- Clients must follow the guide’s instructions at all times. Failure to do so may result in removal from the safari without refund.
- Smoking, feeding animals, or reckless behavior inside national parks is strictly prohibited.
9. Client Conduct
- Clients are expected to respect local cultures, wildlife, and fellow travelers.
- The company reserves the right to terminate a client’s participation, without refund, if behavior is deemed dangerous, unlawful, or disruptive.
10. Force Majeure
- Msike Tanzania Safari shall not be held responsible for failure to deliver services due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, epidemics, terrorist acts, or government restrictions.
- In such cases, the company may offer alternative arrangements, rescheduling, or credits at its discretion.
11. Complaints & Disputes
- Any complaints must be reported immediately to the guide or representative of the company so that corrective action can be taken.
- If not resolved on-site, complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the end of the safari.
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and disputes shall be settled under Tanzanian jurisdiction.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a safari with Msike Tanzania Safari, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
